Winter is here! Cross Country Skiing * Snowshoeing * Ice Skating Home to some of Canada’s most picturesque groomed ski trails, Kananaskis offers x-country skiing for all ages and abilities. Ski from our door or drive to Peter Lougheed, Chester or Mount Shark trail systems. Lessons available, please contact us for more info. 8 designated snowshoe trails offer a unique way to explore the area. Shorter trails (Village Loops Trail) are great for “first-timers” and kids. Step off trail on a guided half or full day tour; more info here. The village skating pond is beautiful and great for a leisurely skate and the outdoor hockey rink complete with boards, lights and nets is perfect for a game of shinny. Rent skates and a stick and if you’ve forgotten a puck or tape, we’ve got you covered too. Skate sharpening also available. Conveniently located in the Kananaskis Village Center, next to the Delta Lodge we have everything you need to explore Kananaskis’ playground. Planning a group or corporate function? Moonlit Snowshoe & Fondue Saturday, January 30
Enjoy a beautiful snowshoe tour beneath a blanket of stars and lit by the moon, followed by a fireside chocolate fondue.
Dates: Saturday January 30, February 27, March 27th and April 24th
Time: 7 pm meet at the shop. We’ll head out on a two hour snowshoe followed by a decadent fireside fondue.
Price: $77 per person
Includes: certified guide, snowshoes, poles, headlamp, fondue, and hot beverages.
