Climb into our voyageur canoe and paddle breathtaking Barrier Lake. A leisurely paddle along the shore of this lake is the perfect addition to a weekend in Kananaskis. Hiking in the Mountains 101

Join one of our certified guides and learn the basics to hiking in the mountains; while on a scenic trail in beautiful Kananaskis. Before we depart, and as we are hiking and taking in the breathtaking scenery, you will learn about posture and technique, gear and clothing as well as signs of wildlife and safety considerations while traveling in the mountains.

We offer two different hikes for this workshop, so you can really choose your own adventure! Whether you want to explore a surreal and breathtaking alpine environment or discover an alpine lake, we will get you there! Learn more.

Mountain Biking

Kananaskis has some of the best mountain biking in the Rockies.

We’ll start off with a skills clinic to hone the group’s abilities, then we’ll head out on the trail and have even more fun!


Flat Water Canoeing

Enjoy a day of paddling on one of Kananaskis’ crystal blue lakes. Let the serene mountain landscapes and peaceful surroundings of Kananaskis Provincial Park melt away the stress in your life. The experience starts off with a simple paddling lesson close to shore then you embark on your journey with the comfort, convenience, knowledge and expertise of a Paddle Canada Certified Canoe instructor. Once on the water, we will talk about the history of the area and our majestic lakes. Want a longer day on the water? Why not make it full day trip with a lake side lunch.

Cancellation Policy: Tours run rain, snow, or shine, so please be prepared. Should conditions be deemed unsafe due to lightning or high winds an alternate date will be offered. Bookings may not be cancelled within 10 days of tour. Any cancellations made before 10 days of the tour are subject to a $10 per person administration fee.
